About the DAW class

Q1.What is DAW?

It is the abbreviated name for Digital Audio Workstation. DAW is known collectively as music programming software. For your information, DTM(Desk Top Music) is often used in Japan(Japanese English) as whole digital music production.

Q2.Which DAW will I use for learning composition?

We generally use the Logic Pro. And we also suggest using the software for the students.

Q3.What if I don’t have any PC or DAW?

At the admissions, it is no problem. But you need to purchase DAW, Mac, and other equipment for music production if you choose DAW class. Academics in charge will give you advice for purchase if necessary. (If other course's students take DAW lesson as the 2nd lesson, DAW and Mac are not certainly needed.)

Q4.Is it possible to learn my favorite genres(e.g., game music, EDM, songwriting) at the lessons?

Yes, it is. But other genres and forms are also needed to learn.

Q5.Please tell me about the music production environment in the DAW class.
